What is my passion?
So to get started on the road to your own business and/or brand, product or service, there's a bunch of things you need to consider. The idea is now becoming a reality, so it's time to do some homework and answer some simple questions. Let us give you some thought prompters to get you started:1. What's my passion?2. What's my purpose?3. What's in a name?4. What am I offering?5. Who is my customer?6. How will I create it?7. How unique is my idea? 8. How the hell do I go about setting it all up?9. Who can I talk to?10. How do I want to run my business?11. Does this truly bring me joy?Whether you are still in your day job trying to figure this stuff out or you are working for a company that has pressed the button for Private Label and you are like "now what"? This is where we can step in and help you...so Basic Principle No.1 just please ask yourself, "What is my passion...?"
What's the benefit of your idea?
In a world of instant gratification and over consumption, it's time to focus on the benefit you are creating and offering with your brand, business, product or service. What benefit does your idea offer? What benefit does it have in everyday life? What it's long term benefits? Stop focussing just on the actual idea and more so on what it is giving to its desired consumer. There's a responsibility we all have as brand and business owners. Being mindful of what we are creating and it's impact.
As product creators we daily face the exciting and often daunting challenge of coming up with new ideas, things that will set our clients apart from the pack. We always look at ideas from a different point of view and more often than not, come up with the idea from outside the industry they are actually being created for. We step back and really critique them, to really understand the ideas true potential and uniqueness. We ask ourselves, 'does this meet a need? Is it beneficial? Does it serve a purpose? Can it be easily replicated? Is it on brief?'
Think on your toes, trust your gut, understand your brief and go for it!
Golden rule: Make it simple but significant.

Sydney, we love you.
The Product Room is very fortunate to be working on an amazing project at present. Kind of like a dream come true actually! One of our most favourite things in this world - the city which we live in - #SYDNEY.
We are leaving no stone unturned in our research, finding out who and what makes up this incredible lifestyle we so often take for granted. Why it is so unique compared to other cities in Australia and the world? It's fair to say we are discovering a lot!
It’s a city that is young, modern and free. It’s a cultural melting pot of food, fashion, architecture, art, nature, beaches & sport. It promotes a sense of dedication to health and well being. It enjoys the sunshine and all it has to offer. The pride of Sydney is at the core of every true Sydneysider.
Unashamedly proud of this big, beautiful, bold and effortlessly glamourous city, they love to show it off. We love a visitor and we love to take them outdoors and let them enjoy the good life. Sydney shines. 🌟
